Looking For Love by Stella Starling
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
How can I put this? Micah – sweet Micah – he was a breath of fresh air, a cold drink on a hot day, a stunning sunset after a romantic date. He was refreshing and beautiful and contagious and, quite simply, one of the best characters I’ve read in a long time. Zach was…..as I frown at the screen…..at first sweet, charming and wonderful and then his gullibility and stupidity was confusing and frustrating. But he redeemed himself in the end, not succumbing to Janis and her lies but finally listening to Micah and realizing what a complete doofus he was being. And it’s a good thing too, because if he hadn’t – the readers wouldn’t have been treated to things like this:
Because kissing Zach? It felt like finally finding out what his lips had been made for. It felt like coming home
That, right there, is enough to put a pitter-pat in even the most jaded of hearts. This book was sweet, funny, intense, beautiful and refreshing.
This book will make you look at love with bright, fresh eyes – kind of like Micah……who, in my eyes, is pretty darn perfect. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy.
