Tied to You by Riley Hart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Some books you read and you know right away that they are going to be brutal, that you’ll feel like you’re dragging your heart across broken glass until you get to the end. Those are the ones that you sigh with relief at the end, proud of yourself for reading it but also happy that it’s over…so you can recover now.
But then there are books like this one…
~”You make me f*ing crazy. Like you fit into this empty space I didn’t know I had.”
….Books like this, where you start it and immediately you know, you just know, how incredibly special it’s going to be, how it’s going to embed something amazing in your heart that you will keep feeling, and keep wanting to feel, forever.
~”Miles didn’t feel like himself. It was as though being with Quinn made him a different man. A better man.”
Everything in this just clicked perfectly – from the playful banter between Quinn and Miles, to Miles’ stubborn walls, to Quinn’s innate ability to figure out how to knock them down.
~”Quinn’s heart banged against his chest, beat Miles’s name.”
When you critique a book, you look for something, anything, to say that it’s not totally, utterly perfect in every way….but I couldn’t find a flaw in this one if I tried…..
It’s just that…..yes….perfect.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
