Can I give this a resounding yes? A fist pump in the air? A cheer, a whoop, a thank you? All of those are deserving for this wonderful, hard fought, beautiful, heartwarming, uplifting story. At times it had me on the edge of tears while so many others had me rooting for Darren and Jamie and finding that happy that they both so clearly deserved. Just perfect. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Details. Details are very important. Him instead of her. Mentioning that someone brushes their teeth after puking before he’s making out again because, um, eww, way to ruin a sex scene. So, yeah, details are important. Don’t assume the reader can or will read your mind. Other than that the story was okay, although the jumping into sex without a condom or asking if that was okay seemed weird. I wanted to like the characters and sometimes I did, other times they felt so immature I wanted to smack them. Good if somewhat frustrating. I was given an arc in exchange for an honest review.

~Review~ Weight for Happiness by Jason Collins

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Okay. This was definitely my favorite Jason Collins book so far. I felt for Jeremy and his struggles, not only with weight but also with self-esteem issues too. Ryan? I liked him at first but then, well, he confused me. I didn’t understand his reaction to a particular situation. It seemed, well, odd. And it never really got explained either. Actually a lot didn’t get explained because these two never learned how to talk. They needed to – it would’ve made it a perfect story in my view. But overall, since I connected with Jeremy so well and I couldn’t put this down once I started I give this a definite thumbs up. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Omg, could they be any more wonderful? Could they melt my heart anymore? Could this story be any better? Not a freaking chance. Everyone in this story was just so beautiful in their own way and together they formed this amazing, heartwarming trio that I just wanted to hug forever. My favorite by this author so far. 3rd of 3 The End. Yeah. I gotta admit that hurt a little…okay…it made me want to stomp my foot, pout and say ‘but I don’t want it to end’. But I grudgingly admit it didn’t just end well, it ended perfectly. This entire series, if you lined all three books up on a table and tried to pick a favorite. I doubt you could. I know I couldn’t. Each one made me laugh out loud, each one made my heart smile , each one was real and beautiful and unique, just like the Myers men themselves and the wonderful men they were lucky enough to find. Well done M. Ortiz, and thank you. This is definitely a series I will come back to and read over and over again.

If I could give a book a standing ovation, I would for this one. The struggles each man felt, both from their pasts and from what they were currently facing was palpable. I felt it into my bones and all I wanted to do was try to help but all I could do was read on and hope they figured things out together. What an intense, amazing and beautiful ride this was.

~Review~ Gone for You by Riley

Gone for You (Wild Side, #1)Gone for You by Riley Hart

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It’s the sign of a truly great author when I can read yet another of their books, have it knock me on my a@& and not be a bit surprised because this author does that to me with every book she writes. Right out of the gate, this book had me feeling like my heart was being squeezed in my chest, like it wasn’t sure if it could handle what was around the next corner….and it knew it was because I was feeling Matt. Yes, Riley wrote him so beautifully, so vividly that I felt him inside. And even though it was rough going sometimes and I had to fight back tears, once I got to the end? Wow. I felt like I watched a butterfly emerge from its chrysalis and spread its beautiful wings. Ollie and Matt, you are beautiful music together. Thank you for taking me on your journey.
