Could an ending to a series be anymore perfect? This was a story about growth,a story about new beginnings, about letting go, about healing and it was a story about love. Perfect? I’d say so. Our beautiful hallelujah.

Let me first say that I devoured this book in a very short time but not exactly for the best of reasons. I liked the story line, for the most part, and most of the time I like the MC’s but here’s where I struggled with it: One, the editing was awful. Missing words and incorrect words were all over the place. It almost felt like someone did a spellcheck, called it good to go and published it. Where was the editing??? I highlight errors like this when I read (because I too am an author and editor) and my kindle was more yellow that white. The other thing I struggled with was the cheating. Yes that’s my own issue/trigger but it still left a bad taste in my mouth, especially with how much/how long it went on. It would have been nice to have a warning for this in the blurb – would’ve made me better prepared.

Sometimes love finds you even when you’re not looking for it.
That was the message that moved me so much in Zach and Connor’s romance. The support they gave each other, the encouragement – it was so beautiful and just frickin’ perfect.

Shhhh. Don’t speak. You’ll ruin the perfection of this moment. This book will suck you in until the rest of the world falls away and there’s nothing but you, Derek, Jordan and their broken pieces and beautiful love. And when you finally manage to crawl back out you’ll feel lucky to have been a part of something so amazing.

I adore books about second chances and this one definitely delivered. We first met Gunnar in the Hard Hit series and I loved getting to know more about the man in this new spinoff series. Broken hearted, Gunnar has decided to forego any relationships at all and just concentrate on his boxing career. But that’s difficult to do when your hot neighbor turns out the be the boy you had a few unforgettable encounters with when you were in high school – and he has grown into a sexy, hot, amazing and almost unrecognizable man. I loved the dynamic between Liam and Gunnar – how they helped each other grow just by being themselves. Can’t wait to read the next one.

This story was so amazingly good I devoured it. The characters were so complex and endearing that the longer I read it felt like more ingredients were being added until it formed the perfect recipe.
I can’t recommend this enough. In fact I think I just might go back in for a second helping.
